Our work

International Seafarers' Welfare Awards

The International Seafarers' Welfare Awards give seafarers the chance to say thank you to companies and organisations who have offered them high quality welfare services and facilities.

By raising awareness of best practice, we hope to encourage improvements in existing welfare provision and promote new services and facilities for seafarers around the world. This is part of our ongoing work to promote the implementation of the International Labour Organization's Maritime Labour Convention (MLC, 2006), which includes welfare obligations and recommendations.

The International Seafarers' Welfare Awards 2019 were held on Wednesday 11 September 2019 at Inmarsat's Headquarters during London International Shipping Week. Find out who received an award here.
